Busy Monday – week of February 17

Today is the 50th Busy Monday.  (Well, 49th if we subtract the time we were on vacation and the pre-scheduled party didn’t go up.)  Almost a year’s worth of ideas that make life easier, better and more fun!  When I started this link party, I read somewhere that the blogger should not number the parties until they had been going for a year.  Gettin’ close!

Featured from last week!

Need YOUR input:  I am trying to figure out how to carve out more time to write posts.   We have redone the dining room, office, bathroom and now the living room fireplace – all documented with photos (fabulous ones, too!)  but not written.   We took two vacations last year, including a wonderful one to Hawaii and I would love to share.  Visiting links, reading and commenting, choosing the features, creating the post can take most of my blogging time for Saturday and Sunday – the two days I have uninterrupted to write  (because Wheels work schedule includes 12 hours those two days and when he’s home we’re working on the above!)  I’m experimenting during the month of February to see if I can figure out a way to write more – the reason I started A Pinch of Joy.  Visiting other blogs and meeting other bloggers are inspiration and motivation – the reeason I started Busy Monday. You come here to get noticed and I want to make that happen too! Oh, what to do. . . . I am going to keep experimenting.   Since I am in evaluating mode, any feedback you may have on anything related to Busy Monday– like the slide show for features, the paging Inlinkz – is  welcome in the comments or via email!   Please bear with me and the random changes – and if you have any great ideas on how to achieve balance let me know!

Now let’s party:

If you also host a link party, please feel free to add it  to the linky in My Party Room.   If you are looking for new linky parties to share or find inspiration,  check out some of the great parties that have been linked.

Thanks so much for sharing your talent and great ideas on Busy Monday each week!

  • Add a Busy Monday button somewhere on your blog or a text link in your post (required for a feature).  I’d love it if you would also follow A Pinch of Joy in some way.
  • Link directly to your post –  anything family friendly YOU created yourself and that you haven’t linked here before.  Please no link parties or sales pages (including Etsy).
  • Visit one or two other Busy Monday links and leave some goodness in the comment box – or pin if they have a pin button on the site. You’ll find the friendliest people party here!

  1. Although I do not host any parties I feel as though I have precious little time to write any posts and I often wonder how do all these women /bloggers do it. Some work outside of the home, have a family and other commitments I do not work out side of the home but I have 2 angels with special issues, 1 of them has a very rare cancer. I started this blog as an outlet for myself because I love to be creative & I am finally at the point to where the angels are easier to care for still WHERE DOES THE TIME GO! I will be anxious to hear what other bloggers say & to see what yo come up with to help you solve this issue. Thank you for always being a gracious host! Blessings

  3. Thanks so much for hosting. I’m linking up a stool that my 15 year old son made and painted.

I have no idea how to find more time to blog. I have the opposite problem though, I have posts written, but need to stage and take the pictures to add. There are not enough hours in the day!

  4. Hi Charlene, thank you for hosting! As far as making time to blog, my best advice is to print out a blank calendar for the next two or three months and start brainstorming blog entry topics. Write them down in the blank dates, how many ever you want per week. Then when you get your free time you’ll already know what to write about. Try to keep a bank of fourteen or so entries in draft mode (or scheduled) so you don’t have to feel pressure.

  5. Ahh, the never ending question of how to balance everything you want to do with the time you have. I so appreciate that you host this party each week, but it is also a lot of work to host and visit the blogs and comment and take time to pick the features. I wonder if doing a party every other week, or once a month for a couple months while you catch up on your blog posts might be a good solution? I hope you find a way to get everything done you want to. :) Sharon

  13. Charlene, thank you so much for featuring my Rocky Road Brownies, they were a hit at my house and I hope your readers enjoy them! Thanks so much for hosting each week, I enjoy your party and your blog. I agree sometimes it’s difficult to find time to write, especially with creating the recipe, taking pictures, editing pictures let alone just life and family in general! Keep up the good work, your blog is great! ~Paula

  14. I will be interested to see what changes you make to address the issue of getting more content out of all the projects you have done. I have a huge digital picture album of crafts I have done with my kids over the last few months and few blog posts to show for it. Would love to hear what balance you achieve.
