So happy with the transformation of my $5 bathroom cabinet! I think it turned out well and I love, love, love the amount of storage we have now! The white really pops against the new paint color -- Frost, a very light gray with blue tones that goes from lavendar to blue to gray as the light from the Sola Tube in the ceiling changes throughout the day. Our kitchen cabinets delivered about the time we were ready to hang this. Geek that I am, I looked through the directions included for hanging wall cabinets. The directions they gave looked like a great idea! So Wheels and Bytes opted to try it out. And the method worked like a charm! Finally! The Powder Room Reveal. I told you about the agony of choosing color and then about the factors to consider in color choice, plus one great tip I discovered to make it easy if that isn't your forte. Last week, I showed you some of the things we did on the way to a new and improved powder room. Wanna see how it turned out? Open the powder room door from the hallway and you see the Eiffel Tower! Bold and totally unexpected. The Eiffel Tower piece dominates because of its size and placement but doesn’t overwhelm because it’s also simple. It’s a personal reminder of our “weekend in Paris”. Powder Room Makeover — in progress
The wood floor had been installed in the powder room a few years ago. And then everything came to a standstill while I debated on the color. Color swatches hung on the wall and we had almost come to a decision, when someone said it looked like an Easter egg factory had exploded in our bathroom. Trauma! Another year went by before we came back to the powder room project. And selected the color we liked the first time around. Stripped the wallpaper and painted the walls. And loved it.
