Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
We celebrated Saturday by going to the St. Patrick’s Parade in Dublin (Ohio, that is.) What a fun morning in spite of the cold wind! There was everything from Civil War reenactors to a city snowplow (big cheer for them after this snowy winter) to the women’s horse club with sparkling gold shirts (and jean bottoms) to classic cars. What St. Patrick’s Day parade would be complete without a kilt clad band of bagpipers, St. Paddy himself (or three or four) with his Irish Hound (or wolf hound or green shirted Yorkie), lots of green wearing politicians, Irish dancers (representing several different schools of Irish dance in the area!), and cute kids waving from cute green floats. I’m fascinated by the wide variety of units that appear in a parade.
And the wide variety of topics that are linked here each week are fascinating, too — thought provoking essays, detailed tutorials, quick tips, yummy eats, clever crafts and so much more. Happy St. Patty’s Day to you too! We were going to head over to the parade but decided it was just too cold for the kids. (We live over in Urbana, southwest of Marysville.) Glad you had fun! Thanks for a great party.

It was chilly. The festivities were definitely kid friendly so hopefully next year will be warmer. This was our first time — we should not have waited so long to go!

How fun to go to the St. Patrick’s Day parade. When I was a little girl I remember traveling to Chicago with my parents for shopping and the parade. Good memories.
Hope your weekend is off to an extraordinary start, Charlene!
