An impromptu conversation took place on Debbie Dabble’s blog a week or so ago in which a number of people said they wanted to find blogs to “just read”. Not everybody wants to write, but a lot like to read for their own personal enjoyment. I had a friend who could not get out of the house and felt that blogs opened her world and let her feel like she was still a part of a community. In that spirit, I am bringing back the blog roll — up there in the top bar where it says “Connections” there is a list of some blogs that I like to read on a regular basis. Some are chatty, some are to the point. But they are all written for the joy of it, to share genuine knowledge, a passion and something of the writer. Some make money in various ways, others don’t. If you have one or half a dozen family friendly blogs, that you really, really like to browse, leave a link in the comments. I’ll check them out and add the ones who fit my criteria to the blog roll.
