A weekend for visitors! Two of Bytes' good friends from middle school stopped by to spend the night on a long road trip across country. And Nate the Great (nephew) and his mom came for the weekend. It was a talkative and lively bunch and we truly enjoyed it all! May you spend time with your loved ones, no matter where they might live, this week. Beautiful fall days. Cool but sunny, trees beginning to show some fall color here and there, perfect for walking and poking around in new places with flea markets and fall festivals. Except for wildfire smoke from Canada. Stayed in three days because of very poor air quality alerts bringing thick haze on the horizons, burning eyes and difficult breathing. We're two big states away and on the far side of the third state!! What must it be like in Canada? May you breathe easy this week! The washer quit. Called a repairman who came with parts the next day. The washer's original problem was solved, but something was wrong with the rinse cycle. So called the repair service again Friday. Same repairman came with parts that afternoon. 45 minutes later he emerged from the laundry room. And sheepishly admitted he'd forgotten to turn on the cold water when he was done last time and that would definitely mess up the rinse cycle. I laughed. He didn't think it was funny.
