I sat down at the computer to plan Thanksgiving Dinner. I always think ahead. It’s the actual carrying through that is the challenge. But this year — it’s going to be different. I am on top of this!! So I pulled up the local grocery website, expecting to check out the specials on Thanksgiving foods. I typed “Thanksgiving” in the search bar and hit enter. Up popped the one and only suggestion. “Fancy Feast Turkey Dinner” topped by a picture of a can of cat food! A can of Fancy Feast Turkey dinner. I’m still laughing!!! I typed in “Thanksgiving Dinner”.. THREE cans of Fancy Feast Turkey. Was it Rocky the Cat’s ghost reminding us he’s still with us? A deliberate joke from the grocery? A warning of scarcity? Anyway, it’s back to last minute planning as the big day approaches. Thanks for stopping by to share your awesome posts, great ideas, delicious recipes and fabulous project!!

Your “Thanksgiving Feast” story had me giggling this morning, Charlene! And I’m definitely like you – I always think ahead and brainstorm lots of ideas for holiday dinners, etc, but then when it comes to pulling it off, that’s where I falter, too! Somehow it’s always a last minute dash to pull things together! Thanks so much for hosting another great party!

Family coming is the best part! And, as always, the food traditions that are passed down – and the new traditions that are started as the tapestry of our lives continues to be woven.
