I started to put 4 paving blocks under the bird feeder station to make it easier to mow. The first paver popped into place and I juggled the second on its edge to its place. And promptly slammed all my right hand fingers between the two pavers. The fingers are still purple and swollen after a couple days of ice packs, pain reliever and doing everything left handed. They work with care and caution, but the mini paving project is on indefinite pause. May you keep your digits safe and have a great week! Thanks for stopping by. Severe heat advisory for the next week and more! We've moved indoors -- just like we do in winter except it's cold drinks in our hands instead of fluffy blankies clutched to our chests. I'm pondering the wisdom of living somewhere where it is blazing hot for weeks in a row and then frigid snow and ice for another weeks long period. No wisdom that I can see. Lucky that weather isn't divided evenly so the remaining 46 weeks of the year (give or take) are relatively livable! Depending on the force of the prairie "breezes", of course! May you find wisdom in your life choices-- or just good luck! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesomeness!! Sometimes a blog post is so descriptive of life as I know it, but with a breathtaking understanding of the topic that it brings insights I have missed. Sometimes a topic is approached in a way that makes total sense but because of differing circumstances would not work at my house, then I realize recognizing the difference makes my life richer. There are those blog posts that go directly to the heart of the problem with ideas to solve whatever the issue may be -- planning a party, making memories without involving money, creating beautiful surroundings. Each post is presented in the context of the blogger which makes each one totally unique! And the general attitude is "to each his/her own" and "no judgment here." Yeah!! Thank you for sharing your awesome posts, experiences, ideas ... [Read More]

I've been making the most of my daily hour in the garden plan. Mulching, filling planters, dividing hosta, planting, laying stepping stones. Yes, it's later than usual but the weather has been most cooperative and cool. So satisfying to make changes to the landscape that we will enjoy all summer and beyond. Hope it stays cool for another week and I may finish all I planned! One can dream! May you find something soul satisfying to do this week! Thanks for stopping by! It was a three crises week. Crises (I looked it up -- more than one crisis!) defined by me as anything that takes more than three dedicated hours to resolve and threatens more damage if left unresolved. For one, my computer "updated" by itself. That means back to the bare basics (always for "improved" security and service) -- a new password and loss of important features that only Bytes can find and restore. Am I bitter?? You bet!!! :-) One feature was apparently the Pinterest Button which I only discovered this morning. So for all the Featured Blogs -- I'll catch you next week. May you have a wonderful holiday and a no-crisis week! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesomeness. Featured from last week: Artsy Fartsy Mama - DIY Mini Firepit Fresh Vintage by Lisa ... Got to go shopping with my sister Kay yesterday. She is headed to Pensacola for a wedding and needed a little jacket of some sort to go with her dress so came to our neck of the woods to search. We set a record: four stores (not in a mall!) in less than 90 minutes! Nothing at the first three but the last one yielded several possibles and one that is absolutely perfect!!! Mission accomplished. Not sure who was happier -- Kay or the guys when we returned so quickly! May you accomplish the impossible and make someone happy this week!
