A huge robin cautiously approached our backyard water fountain this morning. He could see me looking out the window and stood on the edge of the water, assessing the situation. The breeze ruffled the red feathers into a puff and he hopped in the basin. Gave me the shivers because the temperature is about 10 degrees above freezing! He bobbed up and down, getting his front wet, then turned his back to me and sank in the barely three inch deep water. His wings spread over the bubbler and then also sank into the water. He took several deep drinks of his bath water and then turned around without standing up. How did he do that? We watched one another for a minute and then he rose gracefully out of the water and up into the tree above. May you witness something enchanting this week! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesome projects!
