My new walking shoes arrived – the same ones I have bought once a year, every year for — well, years. I opened the box, followed a you tube video on how to lace shoes to conform to your foot and tested them by walking into the kitchen. What is that sound? I must have imagined it. Walked back across the tiled kitchen and carpeted living room. Every step sounds like a muffled voice transmission from space! Bytes disagrees — he says they sound like Grumpy Goose. Do I send the shoes back? Or keep them and hope –they wear out sooner than the year they usually last? Thanks for coming by quietly to share your awesome posts!

Well, if the sound is that noticeable, I would be inclined to send them back. I taught fitness classes for many years and that would have been a good reason to return for me, just my opinion :). Thanks for hosting each week!

I don’t know why good shoes are so hard to come by, but they are! 😉 Maybe once you break them in, they’ll settle down. Turn on loud music. ha ha Thank you for hosting the link party! I’ve shared a couple of my own posts and am off now to visit others and leave some comment love. Have a great week!

I can completely relate to your shoe story! I hate it when brands change a product I like! Thanks for hosting!

Personally I hate buying shoes! They never fit right, even if “fitted” in the store. I think feet are like fingerprints, each one different from the other. Why do we think that assembly line shoes would work? Of course it could also be the sheer size of my feet, which is way to big to get anything attractive…thanks for hosting!

I can relate! My feet are different sizes – just a half size, but still – complicates things. These were the only shoes that I could wear the larger size on both feet and still have the arch support work. Sigh — it is difficult being a “special princess”.

I giggled when reading about the new shoes. We were at Lowe’s the other day, and a lady was walking through the garden center; it sounded as though her shoes were barking, haha. She kept apologizing to everyone she walked past, but honestly, I didn’t mind the sound. I smiled and continued my shopping. I say keep your shoes, and hopefully, once they are worn in a little, it will stop making that sound. Have a great week!

Oh that is too funny! Suppose they are the same name brand??
