A Pinch of Joy

Eat Healthy, Do it Yourself, Live Well, Have Fun.

Busy Monday 678

Wonderful July 4th at sister Bee’s!  Lots of good food and laughter.   They and the across the street neighbors have a friendly fireworks competition every year.  This year they (sort of)  synchonized the fuse lighting and it was spectacular!  Bee always makes several kinds of homemade ice cream and the “lots of lemon ice cream” was a work of art of it’s own!  We see the same group every year — and always end with “See you next year!” May you find fun and fellowship this week after the Fourth!  Thanks for stopping by to share your awesome posts!

Sounds like you had a lovely 4th, Charlene! We had a busy holiday weekend and I’m still doing the laundry for all the company we had… I’m tired but my heart is full! Thanks so much for highlighting our “Life Lately” post! We were thrilled to be included in this week’s features!

Thank you for featuring my Agua Fresca (Watermelon Lime) Punch! I hope y’all have a happy & healthy Summer, which seems to end all too quickly after the 4th of July! (liked it much better when me {and my daughters} didn’t go back until Labor Day ~ why was it changed to mid-May to mid-August anyways??)

We don’t have much space but have tried to make the whole backyard a bird haven. Trees for protection and nesting space, always available water, seeds and bugs (i), And one small totally wild spot around the huge evergreen in the corner where we never go. Spring starts with a brown thrasher sorting the dried leaves and needles under the pine,. When the cardinals and the orioles and the yellow finches make their appearance we feel like the purchased
bird seeds are paid in full for the year. Not quite the same — but the best we can do!
