Whirlwind week as we get ready for a family reunion next weekend. My cousin and her daughter are coming in early — can’t wait to see them! Everyone will gather here Friday evening as they arrive in town for snacks and greetings. Hope it is cool — and not raining!!! We ordered the main meal brought in on Saturday, but people are bringing desserts. We’ll take some time to share after dinner and catch up on one another’s lives. Saturday night we always close down a local ice cream store — once we even mopped the floor as we went out the door, with a great deal of hilarity (and appreciation!) from the staff. Sunday morning is breakfast together and then another hour — or three– in the parking lot sending the long distance travelers off for another year.
