Daylight savings time already! And the whooping cranes are beginning their flight to their summer home. Our afternoon walks only require jackets instead of heavy coats. The winds are still strong and often chilly, but spring is definitely on the way. Time keeps speeding up – or is that just me? Thank you for all of the Fifteenth Anniversary good wishes! We’re excited to welcome the cranes back to our neck of the woods… it will be awhile still, but we’ll be waiting! Plus, daylight savings sure seemed to come early this year – it always messes with my routines but I do enjoy the light at the end of the day. As always, thanks for another great party, Charlene. I had to look up sandhill crane migration path because of your comment – thank you! The cranes start from a small fan in Mexico, come together near the Platte River in the center US and make a big fan as they move north through Alaska and Canada. It’s really cool to see it depicted on a map — but makes perfect sense since the Platte is a big waterway in the middle of a lot of flat land!
