    Our neighbors on both sides have drawn some new bird species to the areas with their feeders. I’m not a bird watcher but I do love seeing them congregate and new colors are always noticed.

    • My husband was the birdwatcher — I was the squirrel shoo-away person when he first started. We had more squirrels than birds at that house!!! But it is a delight to see a “new to the list” species. (And only one squirrel!)

    • He’s a multitalented guy. Pecks out the nest in a tree – 12 inches deep the book said, and since we only have smallish trees here, now I’m wondering which limb is going to fall down this winter!

    • I do like to know the names of those who eat at my house! Especially the ants in the yard – have them all! They are recognizable definitely.

    • The yellow-shafted name was a little puzzling at first but seeing in different levels of light — it was indeed a muddy yellow on its front and sides.
