The leaves are turning the most beautiful colors.  Our evening walks are like being in the middle of a painting surrounded by gorgeous deep jewel tones of orange, russet, gold, brilliant reds and yellows and shades of green from chartruese to deep emerald.  Mundane errands mean coming over a hill to a breathtaking view of riotous color.  Or driving down a road lined with trees of every hue on either side.  Love it!

Eclipse October 8 2014 -- A Pinch of Joy
Wheels and I made a date to watch the lunar eclipse last week.  It was hard getting up at 5:30 am but being able to see it from our own front yard made it so easy we couldn’t pass it up.  Awesome!
And you are awesome for coming by each week to link your recipes, ideas and projects!

September was a busy, busy month.  We cleaned the basement storage space in preparation for a late in the season garage sale.  Wow!  Pulled that stuff out of there and it was like “oooh more space — let’s expand and multiply on the count of three!”  But it’s all either back in storage, sold or donated.  Well,  except for that pile in the garage that is destined for donation tomorrow.  Feels good!   Wheels took us on a whirlwind tour of medical specialists and facilities, but should be back to work soon.  A Pinch of Joy concentrated on seasonal recipes:  Spicy Pumpkin BreadPear HoneyPeaches and Cream Cheesecake  and Recipe for Happiness — Thoughts on a Root Beer Float.  There was an addition to the American Girl wardrobe with How to Make A Parka for 18″ doll with free pattern.   And now for the fabulous features from last week:
