I did a presentation for a group at our church and received a thank you gift — a fall swag of Indian corn made by a 91 year old gentleman. It was absolutely gorgeous! And a delightful honor! He also grows Indian Corn from heritage seeds furnished by an indigenous native group. They had only a few seeds for him to plant the first year. Now, several years later, he is able to grow enough to more than supply the group for their uses. This corn has more nutrient value than the sweet corn we buy so with research, it may also change what we eat someday. It is also an honor that you stop by each week to share your awesome posts. Thank you!!

I would love to find that kind of corn. The corn from my homeland is not sweet either and I have a hard time getting used to its sweet taste here. Perhaps I should sneak in seeds next time I travel home, lol. Thanks for hosting and thank you so much for the feature of my Greek pasta recipe. Have a wonderful week!

I agree about sweet corn. I much prefer regular field corn– bigger kernels and just good corn flavor! Unfortunately, we don’t have the space to grow any kind of corn and all we can do is hope to be at the farmer’s market with the right vendor at the right time.
