I love garage sales for all sorts of reasons.  The beautiful grandfather clock that chimes the passing of the hours for which I stood in line for an hour and a half to buy for $85.  The thrill of the hunt for something you didn’t even know you needed until you saw it and the certainty of its necessity became immediately apparent.  But then we moved and had to jettison Stuff.  Except the grandfather clock and other treasures.  Saturday morning Wheels and I walked to all the garage sales in our cul de sac and I did not buy a thing.  It helped that most of the sales were baby clothes and toys — and we have no little ones to buy for at the moment.  But still restraint happened and I’m proud of me!!!
