Busy Monday 609

The snow geese are passing through on their spring migration — early this year. They stop along the Platte River and spend several days fueling up to continue their journey. Whooping cranes have begun to arrive for their fuel stop – also early. The sky is full of whooping and squawking and flapping wings. By the time they fly over our house they are high enough that all we see is the v formation of moving black dots, but we can still hear them quite loudly! Spectacular!
