At the beginning of the year, Wheels was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a treatable and curable cancer. I don’t usually share deeply personal notes here, but last week he had his first series of chemotherapy sessions and will finish in July. The kindness shown by those who took the few minutes to connect in an unknown journey has been overwhelming. The oncologist who shared pictures of his car restorations, the anesthesiologist who heard and responded to my concerns, the nurse who took time to resolve a persistent error in his medication list, the dad joke shared by the really fast transport person, the doctor who walked to a distant waiting room to tell me good news personally. These seemingly small interactions have made a huge difference! May you find “helpers who care” along your way this week! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesome ideas, recipes and projects this week!
