Snow on the ground and below freezing temperatures — back to the normal weather for this spot on the map.  Flowers didn’t make it to Christmas. Still a record for how long they continued blooming!  We put up the outdoor lights this past week.  When we first moved here, we were the only ones on the block and one of the few in this area that had outdoor lights.  Not any more!  It’s fun to walk at night amidst the colors, flashing and non-flashing lights, a bright spot on the wide open prairie beyond the city limits.  There are quiet houses with maybe a Christmas tree in the window.  And there are houses with no display — a moment of rest and peace as we walk past.  Room for everyone to celebrate – or not- in their own way.  May you enjoy the season in the way that suits you!  Thanks for stopping by to share your awesome posts!
