We’ve become the Grackle party house. You know that one rental down the road where the party is all weekend. Only these guys don’t know the weekend was over last month and they keep inviting more of their grackle buddies. Slender, irredescent partybirds dressed in all black with blue heads, grackles live in flocks of 75 to 100. That warning should be in 100 point font! They send out flute sounding invitations to the flocks in adjacent counties. “Hey come and dance in THIS backyard” and give the coordinates. I’ve only refilled the finch feeders, reasoning that the grackles are too big to get in them. Yeah, grackles stand on the sloped bottom of the small feeders, nudge the cover up and eat out of the top. Acrobats, they are! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesomeness this week. Happy Monday. Thanks for hosting. We have wild bunny parties with squirrel crashers. Every so often we can hear a domestic disturbance in the trees but they seem to have their own bird police for that. The best nesting spots seem to be an issue.

Those darn squirrels! We had soooooo many when we lived in Ohio — didn’t think of feeding them peppered seeds.

We had one of those party houses in the ‘burbs for a short while. A fraternity pooled their money — but they didn’t know a State Patrol officer lived in the cul de sac behind them. They got one and a half parties for their trouble. Lol.
