The robot vacuum cleaner, faithfully following the same program for nine years, got lost this week. I pulled out my phone and clicked on the robot icon. “Set new password” popped up, along with the advice to log in on my desktop. There I was told to “Include: At least 8 characters including, Lower case letters (a-z), Upper case letters (A-Z), Special characters (e.g. @#$%^&), and Numbers (0-9). I was tempted to write “1on&2#GO”. Really? My robot vacuum needs four step secure passwords?? Password entered made the robot beep so I could find where the bedskirt wrapped around it and stopped it cold. Or did that prove robots can eat bedskirts when passwords are hacked by nefarious actors? May your robots stay safe this week! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesomeness!
