A Pinch of Joy

Eat Healthy, Do it Yourself, Live Well, Have Fun.

Busy Monday 725

The robot vacuum cleaner,  faithfully following the same program for nine years,  got lost this week. I pulled out my phone and clicked on the robot icon.  “Set new password” popped up, along with the advice to log in on my desktop.  There I was told to “Include: At least 8 characters including, Lower case letters (a-z), Upper case letters (A-Z),  Special characters (e.g. @#$%^&), and Numbers (0-9).”  I was tempted to write “1on&2#GO”.  Really?  My robot vacuum needs four step secure passwords??  Password entered made the robot beep so I could find where the bedskirt wrapped around it and stopped it cold.  Or did that prove robots can eat bedskirts when passwords are hacked by nefarious actors? May your robots stay safe this week! Thanks for stopping by to share your awesomeness!

Thank you for featuring my easy Peach Cobbler! I don’t want to preach politics, but your robot vaccum needed more ID than some states require to vote! … I’ve always wanted someone (or something) else to vaccum for me, but our other house was too big. Now that we’ve downsized, I think that’s a great option. Now if there was just a robot who cleaned bathrooms!

Wow, that really is funny. Passwords have gotten completely out of control. Thank you for hosting this fun link party each week, Charlene. I’ve shared 2 posts and am off to visit others and leave the “gift of a comment.” Wishing you a great week ahead and no nefarious robot vacuums.

Your robot vacuum story made me giggle, Charlene! We got one as a gift from our kids a few years ago and I still have trouble programming it at times! Add in the password challenge and, oh my!!! Thanks so much for hosting us all! Happy Monday!

So many passwords! Our power bill now needs double encryption and I told my husband, if someone wants to hack the account and pay the bill, they’re more than welcome! HaHa! Thank you for featuring my stepping stone and may your robot vac never be lost again!

How funny about the robot vacuum. I had no idea they could get lost and you needed a password to access it. Thanks for the party.
