It has been pleasantly cool this week so I’ve gotten a lot of yardwork done this week (in spite of plantar faciitis.) The weeds that were threatening to swallow the pentagon garden shed were pulled after yet another rain — smooth as butter. Pulling the weeds that is – not the mud. Bytes laid four big stepping stones along the side of the shed and I put down a thick layer of mulch over cardboard on both sides of the new path to prevent new weed growth. Instant improvement! Pulled the deck furniture out of the winter stack and washed all so we can “dine on the deck” tonight. The loose shingles are still holding on and hopefully the roofer will get to them tomorrow before more rain comes! May you have a pleasant mid-summer catch-up this week! Charlene, all my weeds zoom grow in the heat, so yes, after a rain shower is a great time to weed. Have a great week ahead, and thanks for hosting.

Thank you so much for the wonderful party! It’s much appreciated! I know how painful plantar fasciitis can be. I used to wear Birkenstocks a lot, and then realized I couldn’t anymore because they didn’t have a back on them, and they were causing my plantar fasciitis. Not sure if that helps, but I thought I’d mention it!
