It’s been hot, humid and busy. A typical summer, in other words. The fountain needs to be filled at least once a day because the hot winds evaporate the water quickly. The flowers need to be watered daily for the same reason. I planted lots of sedum and moss rose in the big pots this summer because they are heat tolerant, Glad I did! We bought a new bird feed mix without so much corn. Birds love it! And I love not having to sweep the corn the birds don’t like and flick to the ground. Grape jelly is a hit again. The oriole family flies in frequently, but the purple finches, redwing blackbirds, even sparrows visit as well.
