The Monarchs are back! The last few years the beautiful orange and black butterflies have been scarce. The butterfly bush and the purple asters along the back fence are now attracting dozens each day. When we go for our daily walk it takes us along a brook between two rows of houses. Some adjoining neighbors planted the communal strip with butterfly attracting flowers. Nothing fancy- just three or four packets of seeds each sown between the sidewalk and drainage. The air is full of monarchs, and four or five other kinds in lesser numbers. So peaceful with the bright flowers and the air full of butterflies. May you find a peaceful spot this week!
