Rain storms have been the culprit for the past week. Blamed for the post scheduler that went down from lost power last week – so sorry you couldn’t find us at the usual time! Floods all around where wildfires were big news just four months ago. We drove through pounding rain for my eye appointment 45 minutes away on Thursday and came home to find shingles gone and water dripping through the garage ceiling. And it rained two more days! But the lawn looks amazing! The garage roof can be repaired and the ceiling painted. The endangered water table has a good start on rebuilding. May you find pinches of joy to keep your heart filled this week! Thanks for your persistence and stopping by to share your awesome projects!

Thank you for featuring my Caramel Apple Gooey Butter Cake! We’d had over 65 days without rain and only 4 days that weren’t triple digit heat in August through 2 weeks of September in North Texas ~ then we went to visit our daughter in Idaho and brought back some rain and cool weather with us! Now it’s in the 70s and the drizzles/rain has stopped so I can finally pull out everything that didn’t make it in my garden and plant for Fall! ** We also did the shingles gone off the whole back of our house b/c of wind shear a few years ago. No such thing as a 30-year roof in Texas! You’re lucky to get 15 years with the tornadoes, wind shear & hail! … And then when we had single digit temps for a week a couple of years ago, we had burst pipes in the attic above our garage (thank goodness it was only there) and when the ceiling collapsed there, it looked like a snow storm covering our cars from the insulation! … If it isn’t one thing, it’s another! ** Take care and I’ll be back next week to see what’s new & interesting again.

True words – If it isn’t one thing it is another!!! The roofer promised to be out this week to fix the garage. Haven’t heard a peep all week — Hoping he gets here tomorrow before the promised storms!

We feel the same way in Colorado–having been in a drought, the rain has been *a lot* but we are loving the water! You’re right that things can be repaired. Great perspective. Thank you for hosting this awesome link party! Wishing you a great week.

The rain must have been good for the fall colors! I’ve received and shared on fb so many fabulous Colorado views this week.

I love how you spin a negative into a positive “But the lawn looks amazing”. 🙂 It has been a very rainy fall. It’s been hard to enjoy fall activities and fall festivals with all the rain. Thank you for the party!

The lawn does look amazing! LOL

Our internet has been much better with underground cable — used to come to a dead stop every time with a strong wind and where we live there is lots of wind!
