Short Stuff and mommy were here for the Labor Day weekend. We had a wonderful picnic in a park we discovered recently on the edge of town. It has everything — a playground, a swimming lake,a kayaking lake, a long bridge, bicycle paths, picnic places. And the weather was perfect! Best of all, we had the entire park all to ourselves. Other people were with with family or off to Capitol City for the first football game of the season. Just us, the birds and squirrels. We’ll definitely be back — maybe with a kayak next time!! Thank you for hosting! This is what was served during the week 9-2- to 9-6 in my home. On Tuesday morning was Apple and Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal. Wednesday we served a delicious Marinated Apple Pork Tenderloin. Wrapping up this first apple week in Michigan we enjoyed an Apple Streusel French Toast Bake. Enjoy!
