I love to change the look of old frames. It’s great to freshen things up now and then. You did a beautiful job!!! So glad you shared the story about “the other side” of your childhood home. I laughed out loud. Oh, well, I think the man probably enjoyed it nonetheless…and who knows, maybe he figured it out after the fact. 😉
