The sun is shining!!! Of course, there is new snow on the ground and the wind cuts right though — but there are little signs that spring might eventually happen. Snowdrops are blooming, a few tulips are poking through the ground, the goldfinches have their summer yellow and a few more robins have joined Ol’ Sarge (the guard robin, who too old to migrate, made it his mission to drive the pesky starlings away from the feeders this winter.)
