Hostas were barely peeking out of the earth on Tuesday and today are spears standing 6 inches above ground.  They are ready to unfurl and become the beautiful broad leafed plants that will make the background for our summer.  It is so amazing to see this happen each year.  Purple grape hyacinth and red tulips. Pink and white bleeding hearts above lacy cut leaves.  Gorgeous saucer magnolias in purple and lavendar.  Can you tell I love spring?  And I love that you pop in each week with your great posts!  Thank you.

Bytes’ Brother had a birthday this past week.  Tulips have always bloomed in time for his birthday — but not this year.   After this forever winter, they apparently they can’t believe it is Spring either!  Wheels did the first lawn mowing of the year yesterday though so there is hope that the seasons WILL change and the jackets and heavy coats will stay in the closet!
