I liked this recipe for Butter Fluff Cookies because it includes butter and cream cheese and tastes like a rich, fluffy cloud. It is also quick and easy and you can vary it in so many ways. Like this: Variation 1 - 3: Rolled in red sanding sugar before baking, green and red sprinkles mixed into the dough before baking, rolled in tiny green candy balls before baking. Variation 4: Add mini Chocolate chips. (Variation 5 not pictured - Heath Toffee Bits) Variation 6: Chopped walnuts (pecans, almonds also good!) Why did I try variations? Because when I first tasted the mixed cookie dough, I thought it needed pizazz. So I pizazzed. And when I was finished, guess what was my favorite? The plain fluffy cloud. Seconded quite closely by the chopped walnut -- cuz I like ... [Read More]

Chocolate Chip Cinnamon Crisps
Chocolate Chip Cinnamon Crisps are quick, easy and quite straightforward to make. You’ll be glad you made these! Tips for less experienced bakers: Let the butter soften until room temperature by letting it set on the counter for 30-60 minutes ahead of time. Cutting the stick of butter into slices will help it warm faster. OR do the microwave cheat, put in the microwave at 50% power for 15-20 seconds. Room temperature butter will almost “take your fingerprint” when pressed with an index finger. The butter will still be firm enough to resist your touch, but soft enough to leave the imprint of your finger. If you press and your finger actually sinks into the butter – too soft. Be sure to pack the brown sugar – that is, press it tightly into the half cup measure until it is level ... [Read More]
White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies
White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies are a pretty addition to the table, with the contrast between the deep red berries and the white chocolate. They are deliciously just right sweet. I was afraid they would be on the tart side – not true. Cut each cranberry, though. I cheated and put a little hand full of very small ones in whole. THEY were tart -- if you are a tart avoider like me. Bytes said, when he bit into a little whole cranberry, "that had a burst of zing!" Those that were cut without regard to size of the berry, just blended nicely into the overall flavor of the cookie. Use a cookie scoop to make uniform cookies that will bake evenly. The cookies won't spread a lot as they bake so you can space them about an inch apart. The added drizzle is a nice touch. Use the candy ... [Read More]
Chocolate and Cream No Bake Cookies
Chocolate and Cream Cookies are a fun addition to a cookie tray. If you are talking and laughing as I usually am when faced with a cookie tray – we’re talking choices of cookies and chocolate here!! - you could do a double take. Not meat, just a fun soft cookie!! Would you eat it if it were called Salami Cookie? You’ll need two fully packets of graham crackers. There are nine crackers in each packet. I didn’t open the packets, just started crushing them with my hands. Once you get them started, the crackers will breakdown fairly quickly. Don’t worry about crushing them evenly. You’ll want some larger pieces about ½ inch square, some nice crumbs and everything in between. Dump them in the mixing bowl, with 8 ounces of cream cheese (unwrapped) on top to soften slightly. Mix ... [Read More]

Eggnog Fudge
Wow! It tastes just like eggnog! That's what everyone says who tastes Eggnog Fudge for the first time. Truth in advertising. It really does taste just like eggnog! If you like the taste of nutmeg and eggnog, you'll love this! Gather the ingredients for this before you begin. It will take a while to reach 234 degrees and you will need to stir quite frequently, but once the thermometer reaches that point things will move quickly. When you add the white chocolate chips, try to spread them around so they will melt quickly instead of dumping them all in one spot where they will clump. And take forevah to melt. Chill before cutting. With these little hints, Eggnog Fudge goes together quickly and easily. And when you are done, it will taste just like eggnog! Eggnog Fudge ... [Read More]
